Coming Up This Week December 11

Instead of winding down before the holidays it seems that everything is in high gear.

There are lots of books being given away this week so those of you who haven’t been lucky so far this year should be giving Randy something extra in his stocking, just in case. :) He loves chocolate.

My interview with Josh Lanyon is on Wednesday, December 14, before he takes off. Please log on to read what he has to say. Maybe he’ll let you be his cabin boy.

On Friday, December 16, Feliz Faber talks about Christmas celebrations in Germany - Gemütlichkeit and shopping at the Weihnachtsmarkt. It’s a delightful post and I hope you will log on.

Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated in the Rainbow Awards. Here’s a link to the full list of winners and honourable mentions.

On Friday James Buchanan wrote about Living in Someone Else’s Skin. In case you missed it I have linked James’s essay.

As you can see, the guest reviewers have been very busy so if you haven’t seen these reviews and have a bit of free time you might want to check them out.

Next week will be HUGE with the Adrien and Jake interview and the Authors’ Annual Book Giveaway. WOW! If you’re an M/M author and haven’t donated to our annual blowout please do so before 12 midnight EST December 19 – here’s a link to the post.

I’m looking forward to Josh’s interview this week Wave. And although I am very happy that Josh can take a well deserved sabbatical, it’s also sad for me to think of a year with no Lanyon. *sigh* I just got my latest fix with his excellent Christmas story Lone Star. I guess I’ll be re-reading a lot of vintage Lanyon to get me through 2012 – not exactly a hardship.

I’m also looking forward to your review of Ethan’s latest insanity. Of course I’ve read it already, but I’ll save my comments for your review.

Yes, it’s really sad that he’s taking a sabbatical but understandable. I think he will be doing some writing while he’s away but he’s not sure how much. I really loved Lone Star and I had to email him to let him know how much since I won’t be reviewing it. :)

So did you like Ethan’s latest? At least you can tell me that.

I was thinking about e-mailing Josh too. I just loved Lone Star. It was the best going away present he could’ve given us. I’m gonna miss him.

Now Ethan’s latest – that’s a horse of a different color, probably a different species all together! But seriously, what’s not to love? There’s Boone and Wade :hot: and all the crazy wonderful supporting characters that Ethan’s one of a kind brain spewed out :fish: and lot of laughs and all sorts of sexual innuendo. And of course there’s a surprisingly serious side that Ethan always infuses his stories with that make them rise above the laughs. Better than anything I could’ve asked Santa for. I was going to e-mail Ethan too, but he might get a swelled head – you know, the with all the crazy in it!

        Thank you Josh and Ethan.

Ethan with a swelled head? What a novel concept.

Mmmm apparently my mobile didn’t post my comment. Oh well.

Looking forward to Feliz post! I’ve only been to a German Weihnachtsmarkt once, but i always go to the big Dutch one. We can compare notes!

It’s looking to be a good week! It’s always busy this time of year! I like it!
