As you probably know, Wave may have started this whole thing four years ago as an outlet for her reviews when she had difficulty posting elsewhere as she wanted, but over that time it’s really all become about YOU: the reader, author, visitor to the Site That Exploded (well, not literally, of course, but you get it – we became damn busy).

Some of you are regulars, stopping by daily – or more! – and some of you are occasionals, and some of you are lurkers extraordinaire, hiding in the virtual bushes peeking out to see what’s going on. Maybe you only stop by on Fridays to see which Hot Menz you can take home for your nasty fantasies, or maybe you surface during the annual insanity that is the Big-Ass Holiday Author Giveaway™ (hint, hint, look for more info on this year’s soon!). Maybe you only head over when there is controversy. It doesn’t matter to us how you get here as long as you do. Our numbers have skyrocketed over the last year even to the point where we needed to get a new host to handle the traffic.
In addition, we began using Amazon Associates service on the site, whereas we offer up “Buy” links to, say, books that you didn’t win via one of the daily freebie offerings or in a review. This service allows for a) you to easily get a book just via a link, and b) the site to get a (small, but it adds up!) sliding-scale percentage of the sale. Plus, if you go through one of the book links, add it to your cart, then continue to buy other stuff on Amazon in the same transaction, we can get a percentage of the other stuff as well! It’s a win-win for all of us, it seems, and you all have been USING IT!!! YIPPEE!! In the last year, your usage of these links has generated a few hundred buckeroonies for us that Wave then turns around and gives back to our community in various ways.
Wave, Christian and I are thrilled with your participation in this program, so much so that we have decided to offer up for pre-holiday giveaway a brand-spankin’ new 7″ Kindle Fire* to a lucky winner of a drawing to be held on Tuesday morning, December 11. That’s keeping the contest open for three days beginning now.
I have the Fire in my hot little hands now and will ship it to the winner. There are no geographic restrictions for the contest, but note that there are some limitations to full use of the device outside of the US (see below for more details).
The catch: this isn’t just a “put my name into the hat” usual comment ask like the other freebie giveaways. We want you to tell us why you visit us. No other requirements, really, so you needn’t write a novel or even a short story, no having to gush with fangirl/boy rants, just a simple “I visit because…” or “I like your site because…” statement.

That is my main reason and how I found this site in the first place, but as time has gone on, it’s not the only reason I visit now. I am a somewhat new fan of the M/M genre, and I like reading the reviews here for recommendations.
I come here to know what’s hot in m/m and to learn.
Yes, I learn a lot from reading reviews, specially low star ones, even if sometimes they hurt as if I had written the book. I guess author’s empathy or something like that.
Anyway, most of the time, I can see the reviewer’s point of view, and I take notes of what I should never do, or try to do better.And some of those lessons are priceless.

As a reader, I get excited when the reviewers discover and recommend a great book or a new author. In those occasions, I take the time to thank the hard working reviewers for their work.
Also, the occasional drama around certain topics is better in here than whatever FOX and CNN are broadcasting.
And last but not least, the Friday Guys, who I’ve been missing lately for being busy on Friday mornings, and by the time I get here, they are all gone. Of course, I can watch all I want.
I like to stop by for things like author interviews, and reviews on M/M that I can’t get elsewhere. This site gives hope as well to those who are struggling with stepping into the light.

I visit because I trust the reviews and I want to get an idea for the books.
I visit your website daily because it has the best, most comprehensive reviews of MM fiction that I have found. I trust your reviewers, and even when I might disagree on a rating, I can always understand where they are coming from. If I am ambivalent about a book, or I see it on a TBR list from the site, unless its an autobuy, I find myself waiting for the review.
This is a great site and it keeps getting better! (And it costs me too much money!! LOL)
I forgot when I first visited your site, must be from one of those book/author related newsletter and stuff I sorta addicted to.

I initially came here for the reviews, as this was and is very helpful when considering a new author. Shortly thereafter, I found I equally loved many of the conversations had, and although I don’t comment often due to an issue with dyslexia, I do read what’s written. I came to the site because I wanted reviews of M/M books across a variety of subgenres. I’ve stuck with it because the site layout and the review format make it really user friendly.

I enjoy the reviews and find a lot of next reads on this site, so for that I check back at least once every couple of days. The discussions that come up about m/m romance genre, LGBT rights issues, and other related topics are also really interesting and something I enjoy. I also appreciate the Friday Menz after a long week at work. Thanks for all the effort you put in to the site!
Hey — just saw this as I am in the hospital! (nothing serious!) and had next to no access to the Internet until now! Aaarrgh! I was preping so much to get to the hospital I had no fun time. As you may or may not know, I log on here almost every day — and not just for the Hot Menz! LOL! I love the reviews! LOVE THEM. It helps me with my limited budget, esp in times like this were I won’t be working for six weeks and only make 55% of my income. I love the interviews. I love the articles. I love the polls.
