Janey
For me the best part about reviewing books is doing the research about something that strikes me as odd. Writing reviews would be very boring otherwise. Of course I only do this for a small percentage of the books or I wouldn't get anything done, but it's fun.
*
edmunds.com was a very good site for you to do your research - I always go there when I'm considering a new car.

Hi Wave!

I really love that you engaged with the characters enough to think through this level of detail! :)
*
Before choosing which car I thought Greg might drive, I went to edmunds.com and read about a bunch of convertibles. I made sure the Sebring offered leather seats, for example. I think you're right that he's the type who would drive stick (*eyebrow waggle*), and the crash indicates that he did indeed find that very tricky. It's also yet another way he'd need to rely on Kip for the next few weeks -- if the ankle itself didn't preclude clutch driving, the cast certainly would! I happily imagine them carpooling from that point forward. :)

Hi Janey
I really enjoyed TLC 101!
*
Re the broken ankle, I talked to my medical expert who is another author (I always check before I open my mouth on medical conditions),
and it was her opinion that driving on a broken left ankle was physically possible, except if the car was a stick then it would get very tricky. Of course there was no indication whether the car had a manual transmission but I would think that's possible because somehow I can't see Greg driving an automatic sports car.:-D

Thanks, Wave, for reading and reviewing TLC 101! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
*
Many things I write about I haven't experienced personally (for example, I've never jumped out of an airplane) but I did drive on what turned out to be a badly sprained ankle -- so bad that an orthopedist took a bunch of x-rays because he thought there had to be a broken bone in there somewhere. I fell down steps as I was leaving for the airport to pick up my parents. It was my right foot, so pressing the accelerator and brake hurt like hell, but I didn't have any way to reach my folks to tell them what had happened, and I didn't want to worry them or leave them stranded, so off I went. Looking back on it, WOW was that dumb. What was I thinking?!? Let's assume pain addled my brain. ;)

She's a new writer but a good one. I think you'll enjoy her 'style.'

Hi Ingrid
The review just happened to fall on the same day that the book was released. If you liked her writing then you'll enjoy this one. I enjoy her 'men'.:-D

Hi Tam
I really think you'll like this. Both characters are likable and the storyline is not outlandish, except for a couple of things that I mentioned in the review. Good writing and it's just about 80 pages.

That sounds like a good little story. I do like when one of the guys is not a neat-freak, guess we all like characters who are like us. LOL
