Before I give you this week’s news, if you haven’t checked out Tam’s post on armpit licking here which is very daring even for Tam, you should do so because it’s very funny. Also, thanks to everyone who commented on my 2 posts – What Should Authors Call The Little Rosebuds here and Lurking: Why Do Bloggers Lurk? here.
Today there are two new reviews. Leslie reviewed Dancing for Jonathan here and I posted Quinn Security: Saying I Do here
Monday January 18 I’m interviewing Steve Berman, author and owner of Lethe Press. I was blown away by how funny he is and the boyz in the hot tub are mad at me because they didn’t have an opportunity to check out Steve’s underwear to see if it’s true that he wears a thong. Better luck next time guys, I’m sure he’ll be back.
Also on Monday the Amber Allure “free” book is Anne Brooke’s A Stranger’s Touch.
On Tuesday, January 19, Erastes talks about M/M books that sneak up on you when you’re dead set against them. Does she mean that historicals will have to allow contemporary M/M books a place on her bookshelf?
On Tuesday the Amber Allure free book is His Wolf Heart by Lila Dubois
On Wednesday January 20 I’m interviewing Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban about their new book Sticks & Stones which is book 2 in the series that started with Cut & Run. Fans of Cut & Run please mark this date on your calendar.
On Wednesday the MLR Press free book is Geography of a Murder by P.A. Brown
On Thursday the Dreamspinner Press free book is Promises by Marie Sexton
On Friday the boys are here to melt your cold, cold hearts. I’m thinking of running another special episode of the Friday Guys wearing jocks. Please send me any pics that you may have in your stash – they must be high resolution and larger than a bread box.
Looking for your suggestions for which Dreamspinner “free” books I should post on Friday and Saturday. Please note that suggesting a free book does not make you a winner.
Reviews
Lynn: Sins of Omission by India Harper; Baby It’s Cold Outside by Nicole Kimberling
Jenre: The Silent Hustler by Sean Meriwether; Moonlust by Kallysten; Beyond Meridian by C.C. Bridges; Crimson by Ethan X Thomas
Erastes: Madcap Masquerade by Persephone Roth
Leslie: To Hell You Ride by Julia Talbot
I will review Sticks & Stones by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux; Baymore’s Heir by Lynn Lorenz; Your Cheatin’ Heart by Mimi Riser; and two short books by Claire Thompson Finding Chandler and A Test of Love; I’m avoiding a few heavy duty books which I will review next week. Now I have to finish my review of Melting the Slopes before Ethan Day comes after me with his little dart gun. hee hee
Start looking around for ugly covers for our new contest next month - I will soon put out a call for new covers.
I will also post a request for questions that you would like me to ask Steve Kluger.
Please note that unless otherwise indicated all free books on the site are ebooks.
Next week I’m interviewing Erastes. I know, I know, you’re wondering what I could possibly ask her that she hasn’t spilled already. Well you’ll have to log on to find out. Also next week Val Kovalin is on the hot seat in my For Love of Books series.

I’d love to know wich books of Steve Kluger are going to be in ebook format, and beg for one of them to be ‘last days of summer’
Sonia
Last Days of Summer is available on the Kindle. One of my questions that I have already written is to ask him which of his other books are planned to be in eformat soon.
Um, it’s already blurring which Dreamspinner books you’ve done already!
Some that I’ve enjoyed or have heard good things about:
.
A Note in the Margin
Man of Mystery
Shades of Gray
Near Life Experience
Rules of Engagement
Patient Eyes
Caught Running
Broken
True Colors
Warrior’s Cross
.
Hmm. This is bad planning on my part, since I already own these!
Chris
You’re right. Bad planning.
You have some excellent choices here, many of which I’ve read and/or reviewed.
Thank you for the list.
Um, yeah, not surprising, since you and Jenre play key roles in my m/m ebook buying.
Again a very interesting week ahead, Wave, thanks!

I’m looking forward especially to your interview with Steve Berman, his book “Vintage” is waiting for me on top of my TBR.
And I’m curious about how Jenre will rate “Crimson” by Ethan X Thomas. I read a great review about that but am still a bit hesitant. I read an excerpt and found out that one of the protags seems to have a plumage and – well. How do you call the big yellow bird in Sesame Street, anyway? I think it’s Bibo… Don’t worry, “yellow” is not the color iirc but still, I can’t shake the image out of my head. So let’s see what Jenre thinks about it.
*
I’d offer a suggestion for the worst covers ever but probably the one I have in mind had already been considered earlier, like in 2008 or so. I’m just so behind things when it comes to reading.
*
Have a good start of the new week!
Hi Lilli
I don’t think you need to wait another minute to read Vintage. It’s a very engaging book.
*
Crimson is part of a new series and she’s reviewing the books starting on Thursday. Were you thinking of Big Bird?
*
Don’t worry about the ugly covers – I’m sure I’ll get some good ones.
Oh, nice week! I’m really looking forward to reading the interview with Steve Kluger. ^^ And Anatomy of a Murder? Is that a sequel to the Geography of Murder?
~
Suggestions for Dreamspinner free book? Sticks & Stones, of course. *g*
Sorry LadyM, that should be Geography of a Murder. I don’t know what I was thinking. I think Anatomy of a Murder is a different book and another publisher *must check into that one.*
Sticks and Stones will be up next week as a DSP free book.
I will mark the 20th. I love Cut & run.
Looking forwarding to seeing you on the site Ingrid.
I’ll have you know I don’t own a dart gun…mainly because I’d likely wind up shooting myself or some such nonsense. : )
Ethan
How nice to see you here today.
>>I’ll have you know I don’t own a dart gun…< <
Are you sure? I wonder who it was that was chasing me today? Must have been one of your characters – Boone, perhaps?
