I just finished The Front Runner, from Wav’s rec.. Great, Great book!!
I also liked Match Maker, Alan Chin. Victor Banis rec. that one on the site.
I keep thinking I’m going to read The Front Runner, but it seems like it would be sad and there are more books after it right?
TFR was worth it! I was hesitant about reading it too. I put it off… It is a book that will take you several days to read but when I finished it I kept saying, ”WOW……..WOW” with a big grin. The book is quite an accomplishment. A lot of M/M will be put into perspective after you read this. Great sports book too! I haven’t researched her other books yet. I’m still basking 8)
I still haven’t read TFR (it’s in my TBR) but I have read the Fancy Dancer, which I thought was excellent. It’s not a sports book, but from the same era.

I just read Stroke to his Cox by JL Merrow. It was good to have another sport – rowing in this instance. Although there wasn’t much rowing done (I won’t say there wasn’t much sport – I really need a green ball for that comment!) but the sports terminology was used throughout this short story. I live near Cambridge (UK) I’ve been to watch the bumbs and it was great to read about places I know. A 4+* from me.

I think the next m/m book I buy I want a sport focus book…I love hockey, baseball and American football.
Does anyone have any recommendations?Have you read Caught Running by Madeleine Urban & Abigail Roux? It’s a wonderful story.
I have not read that one yet Linda…thanks! It has been sitting in my wish list forever, I think it may be time to buy it.
I do not think you would regret it. It’s one of my all time favorites.
